What it measures
- Differentiation and positioning. Can buyers tell you apart, or do you end up competing on price?
- Visibility and authority. Are you known beyond your existing client list?
- Demand and pipeline. Does new work depend on the owner and referrals, or does it come to the business?
- Brand independence. Would the brand survive the owner stepping back? Is it documented?
What you get
On screen you see your score, your band (Invisible, Emerging or Established) and your weakest area. By email you get the full breakdown across the four areas and a specific first move for the weakest one. From there you can book a call with an ORYX partner if you want to talk it through. There is no obligation.
Who it is for
Owners of established businesses that sell to other businesses: civil contractors, engineering firms, manufacturers, trades and specialist service firms. It is most useful if you are good at the work and suspect the market does not see it.
How the score works
Ten of the questions are scored across the four areas to give a result from 0 to 100. The rest help us understand your situation so the first move we suggest is relevant. A score of 0 to 40 is Invisible, 41 to 70 is Emerging and 71 to 100 is Established. The result is general guidance, not professional or valuation advice.
Common questions
Is the Brand Health Check really free?
Yes. It is free and there is no obligation. We ask for your name and email at the end so we can send the full result.
How long does the Brand Health Check take?
About three minutes. There are 16 questions, mostly multiple choice.
What is a brand health check?
A structured review of how well a brand is doing its job. Ours looks at four things for a business that sells to other businesses: positioning, visibility, where demand comes from and how transferable the brand is.
